Based in Vancouver BC, Shirley creates strong compositions with a sophisticated command of colour and contrast. Her work stands out boldly, yet there is a subtlety in the faint shadows of each piece, capturing the imagination with hints of hidden forms that evoke emotion.

 

Shirley finds inspiration while exploring the world, from castles in Ireland to old shipyards in Canada. She is intrigued by texture, colour & light. Always viewing her surroundings with her digital paintbrush in mind, Shirley envisions how the images she captures will evolve into a works of art once back in her studio.
